FORGOTTEN MAN Netflix’s Money Heist fans baffled by ‘forgotten’ Governor plotline in season 4

Money Heist is a Spanish crime drama series originally aired on the Spanish network Antena 3 named originally as La Casa De Papel. Later, Netflix acquired its streaming rights in late 2017 and recut the series into 22 shorter episodes.

It also dubbed it in English and named it as Money Heist. The second part termed as Money Heist season 2 premiered on Netflix on 6 April 2018.

Recently, the much-anticipated money heist season 4 premiered on Netflix on April 3rd, 2020. Although fans expected that this season will provide the conclusion to the bank heist theory started with Money Heist season 3, instead, this season ended up with a huge cliffhanger.

Although it is a much-loved series and fans accepted the 4th season of the series with an open heart as well, there were some fans who were far from impressed.

While some touted it as the best money heist season so far, some argued that season 3 and 4 couldn’t live up to the expectations created by money season 1 and 2.

And their argument is not baseless. Although season 4 packs a very fast-paced intrigue storyline, there’s one thing in the plot that is disappointing the series fans.

It is about the governor of the bank of Spain, Mario Urbaneja. While many expected that he would be of great help to the heist men in season 4, he was simply forgotten in the entire season.

Gandia was a big pain for the team and even was responsible for the death of Nairobi. He could have been easily used against Gandia to compel him to surrender. Or, he could have been interrogated to find out about the secret room in which Gandia was hiding.

This could have even saved the life of Nairobi. This has made the series fans upset. One fan, taking note of the issue posted on Twitter, ” Remember when they moved everyone to the library, but then grabbed the governor and said ‘no you stay with us, he won’t shoot at you’ then they just never use him… It’s like the writers forgot what they wrote”.

Indeed it makes sense and we don’t expect a series like Money Heist to feature such huge plot holes but nothing comes with perfection and we are probably burdening money heists too much with our expectations.

So given the awesomeness of the series, we should forgive money Heist for this mistake. If you want to remain updated with more such updates, stay tuned with us.
